‘Kyle Walker eager for Everton move despite Jose Mourinho interest’
Man City’s Kyle Walker is ready to snub Jose Mourinho in favour of working with David Moyes at Everton next season.
The 35-year-old full-back has become surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium, with Pep Guardiola happy for the player to be loaned out to Serie A during the winter transfer window.
Despite a positive start to life with AC Milan, making 16 appearances across all competitions, his season was ended early when he sustained a broken arm, though he did play in England’s defeat to Senegal.
Walker is one of the most decorated defenders in Premier League history, boasting six Premier League trophies, a Champions League title, and two FA Cups, but it appears his time with the Citizens is now over.
Mick Brown told Football Insider that Walker’s playing style would suit Everton under Moyes, and now the veteran’s opinion on the move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium has been revealed.

Kyle Walker enthusiastic toward Everton as Man City exit looms
According to The Guardian (16 June), Walker is “enthusiastic” about the idea of joining the Toffees, not wanting to go abroad again following his six-month loan at AC Milan.
It is understood that Fenerbahce, managed by Mourinho, are interested in the 35-year-old full-back, as are league-winning rivals Galatasaray, but if he is to snub a move to Turkey, he is one of four options being considered on Merseyside.
Fulham’s Kenny Tete, Vladimir Coufal, and Kyle Walker-Peters are all options, all of whom are free agents this summer following the expiration of their contracts.

David Moyes ready for summer of change on Merseyside
Football Insider verdict
Many supporters will be underwhelmed by the links to Walker this summer, but given his regression over the years, but it is clear to see why Moyes would want his experience and winning mentality.
The Toffees are set for a wild summer of transfer rumours and potential big-name exits following The Friedkin Group‘s exciting takeover from Farhad Moshiri.
Football Insider understands that Everton could make a move for Burnley’s Maxime Esteve should the worst outcome emerge of Jarrad Branthwaite leaving for another club.

Tottenham, Chelsea, Man United, and Liverpool have all been named in the race for the defender’s signature, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto also linked with exits.
A big-name centre-forward is an ideal signing for the Toffees over the coming weeks, with scoring goals usually the biggest struggle in the Premier League, but Moyes loves to build his team on the defence.
Walker would certainly offer stability at the back, helping to make up for Seamus Coleman‘s extensive injuries, but the 35-year-old cannot be seen as a long-term fix for the Blues.
