‘Kyle Walker is a massive Everton signing’ – fans wowed by journalist’s update
Everton fans have reacted all but unanimously and are urging the club to sign Kyle Walker following the latest development.
The England international is expected to leave Man City this summer after a falling-out with Pep Guardiola during the January transfer window.
Walker joined AC Milan on loan for the second half of the season, but the Italian side are not looking to make the move permanent following the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri.
His relationship with the supporters has soured, with Man City fans calling for Walker’s permanent exit after the manner of his departure as he left mid-season when the squad was already short on depth and form.
Now, with his exit looking increasingly likely, Everton appear to be among the clubs expressing interest in the experienced defender.

Man City | 319 | 6 | 23 |
Totteham | 229 | 4 | 18 |
Sheffield United | 35 | 0 | 4 |
Everton make contact with Kyle Walker in right-back search
Fabrizio Romano revealed on X that Everton have “made contact” to sign Kyle Walker, with the veteran defender now on their shortlist as they look to strengthen at right-back.
In a follow-up post, Romano added that David Moyes “approves” the move, with talks already underway between the parties.
It has since been suggested that Walker is open to joining Moyes’ side, although his high wages could prove a stumbling block in negotiations.
Should City agree to terminate the final year of his contract, it could ease the financial burden and make the deal more viable for Everton. However, they are not alone in their pursuit.
Fulham and Turkish giants Fenerbahce have both registered interest in Walker, though it remains unclear which club would be willing to meet his wage demands.

Everton fans back Kyle Walker signing amid Ashley Young exit
The Toffees are entering a new chapter under the Friedkin Group’s ownership, alongside their highly anticipated move to the new Hill Dickinson Stadium.
With Ashley Young confirming his departure from Everton this summer, the club will be short of experience at full-back—something Walker could instantly provide.
Supporters have responded positively to the news, with one writing: “He’d be perfect for a few years” while another added: “If the money isn’t silly, it’s a total no-brainer for a year or two.”
