Kylian Mbappe sensationally ‘agreed’ Liverpool deal – report

Liverpool reportedly agreed personal terms with current Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe while he was at PSG in 2022.

According to French outlet L’Equipe, the 25-year-old, disillusioned with the state of PSG, requested to leave the club months after extending his contract in 2022 and sensationally accepted a contract offer from Liverpool.

Mbappe felt ‘betrayed’ by the Parisian project, particularly, its start to the 2022 summer transfer window as they failed to sign Bernardo Silva and Robert Lewandowski.

However, Mbappe’s move to Liverpool did not materialise even though he had agreed contractual terms.

Jurgen Klopp’s side went on to sign Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo from Benfica and PSV respectively for a combined £112million that summer.

The French star finally moved to Real Madrid this summer, ending one of the most drawn-out transfer sagas in footballing history.

The Spanish giants reportedly paid Mbappe a £128million signing bonus to be paid over five years following his release from PSG.
