Lampard delivers verdict on Tottenham after they close the gap on Chelsea to four points

Frank Lampard has praised Tottenham for their dominant 4-0 win against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon at White Hart Lane.
The recently retired midfielder stated that Spurs were a “joy to watch” as they closed the gap on leaders Chelsea in the Premier League table to just four points.
Their London rivals are set to take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon in what is expected to be a tough fixture against their former manager Jose Mourinho.
Nonetheless, after Mauricio Pochettino’s side wowed again in front of their own supporters, Lampard delivered this verdict on the title-chasers.
“Spurs were fantastic,” Lampard told Match of the Day which aired on Saturday evening on BBC One.

“They dominated the game in every department from beginning to end. They are playing with a real confidence, real youth in their team, a lot of pace, their movement and passing. They were a joy to watch.”
It only took 16 minutes for Tottenham to open the scoring against Eddie Howe’s side when Mousa Dembele drilled home his shot following a corner.
Son Heung-Min added a second just three minutes later with his low shot before striker Harry Kane made sure of the points straight after the break with his wonderfully controlled goal.
However, Tottenham were not done there as Vincent Janssen scored his first league goal from open play in stoppage time to the delight of the home fans.
The win means Pochettino’s side keep the pressure on their title rivals and they will go into next week’s FA Cup semi-final against the Blues full of confidence.
The winner of that mouth-watering encounter will take on either Arsenal or Manchester City, who will contest their semi-final match on April 23.
In other Tottenham news, Alan Shearer has urged Harry Kane to do this after landmark goal.
