Largie Ramazani sends three-word message after Patrick Bamford development at Leeds

Patrick Bamford took centre stage as Leeds United’s Premier League promotion celebrations continued away from Elland Road.

Bamford had a season to forget from a personal perspective and failed to find the net whatsoever in a campaign which saw him limited to just 17 Championship appearances, none of which came as starts.

The 31-year-old’s long-term future in LS11 is uncertain as he enters the final 12 months of his contract, with a summer exit on the cards as Daniel Farke lines up attacking reinforcements in the transfer window.

Leeds are expected to spend big this summer with Farke set to be given a transfer budget of £120million by 49ers Enterprises, and Dynamo Kyiv striker Vladyslav Vanat could soon be their new number nine.

Bamford hailed in latest Leeds celebrations – ‘what a man’

Like Bamford, Largie Ramazani is another player who has only played a bit-part role this season, but the Belgian’s six goals from just seven league starts have rubber-stamped his Leeds credentials under Farke.

The two have also been at the forefront of Leeds’ Championship title celebrations since promotion was sealed in April, including their last-minute title win at Plymouth and open-top bus parade two days later.

Bamford continued the celebrations on Saturday (31 May), as he was invited onto the stage by Leeds-based band Kaiser Chiefs during a gig on the outskirts of the city, with the Championship trophy in tow.

Kaiser Chiefs shared several pictures and videos from their performance of “I Predict a Riot” with Bamford, and Ramazani did likewise on his Instagram story (1 June) to say: “What a man”.

Ramazani ready for next steps after Leeds celebrations

Bamford’s cards appear marked at Elland Road and an exit before his contract expires is likely, after Football Insider revealed on 13 April that Leeds plan to upgrade on both Joel Piroe and their number nine.

After six goals and two assists in just 783 league minutes this season though, Ramazani has a lot more to offer and will fight for his place on the left with Willy Gnonto, Dan James and the returning Jack Harrison.

Football Insider revealed on 16 May that Everton and Marseille’s interest in Manor Solomon puts Leeds in a “difficult” position to sign the Tottenham loanee permanently, but this could be good news for Ramazani’s hopes of more game-time next season.
