Largie Ramazani tells Joe Rodon he’ll ‘eat grass’ after Leeds beat Sheffield Utd
Leeds winger Largie Ramazani has mocked his teammate Joe Rodon on social media after Leeds beat Sheffield United.
The hulking Welsh defender put in a dominant performance alongside his centre-back partner Pascal Struijk, as the Whites won 3-1 against the Blades on Monday night (24 February).
After coming off the bench to score twice against Sunderland Pascal Struijk was named in the XI, and the Dutch defender looked assured and composed alongside Rodon.
The match got off to an inauspicious start for Leeds, with Illan Meslier spilling an effort into his own net to give United the lead in the 14th minute.
Junior Firpo levelled for his side in the 74th minute, with the Dominican defender scoring only his third goal for the Whites since joining in 2021.
Ao Tanaka gave Leeds the lead in the 89th minute, with the Japanese midfielder heading home from a Firpo cross.
Only a minute later, and the Whites were 3-1 up, as Joel Piroe hit a stunning left-footed effort past Michael Cooper.
The result now puts Leeds in the driving seat for automatic promotion, with a five point gap between them and the Blades, and seven points separating them from Burnley in third.
Largie Ramazani issues ‘1v1’ challenge to Joe Rodon after Leeds win
Following the important win, Rodon posted a series of images on his Instagram, of himself in action.
Former Man United winger, Ramazani, then responded with a message saying: “1v1 I still make you eat grass though”.
The confidence from the former Almeria winger is admirable, but on last night’s showing, Rodon will be a formidable opponent.

Ramazani has struggled to break into Leeds’ team this season, largely through no fault of his own, as Dan James and Manor Solomon have been in unbelievable form for the table-toppers.
James has been considered ‘player of the season’ by some Leeds fans, and the Welsh winger has limited his Belgian teammate to just seven starts this season.
Leeds heading back to the Premier League with question marks around Illan Meslier
Football Insider Verdict
Meslier is only a few years removed from being regarded as one of the world’s top young keepers, however, this season has been one to forget for the Frenchman.
The former Lorient shot-stopper has seemingly lost all confidence in net, to the point that Daniel Farke was encouraged to drop Meslier in favour of Karl Darlow.
Leeds are destined to return to the Premier League, barring a monumental collapse, and Farke will have the summer to figure out who he puts in between the sticks next season.
