‘Last game for us’ – Birmingham City fans explode at ‘worst to ever wear the shirt’ vs Derby County
Birmingham City supporters are out for blood following their frustrating 1-1 draw against Derby County on Boxing Day.
In front of a packed-out St Andrew’s Stadium on Friday, 26 December, the Rams took an unlikely lead against the run of play through Patrick Agyemang, before Jack Robinson inspired an equaliser.
Football Insider understands that Chris Davies is under growing pressure at Birmingham, with the club drawing up a list of potential replacements, and the draw will have done nothing to ease concerns.
Frank Lampard is one manager linked with the Birmingham job, and with Christoph Klarer now missing for some key fixtures after picking up a red card, matters could get even worse for the current boss.
The Blues are now without a win in their last five games, seeing them fall to 14th in the Championship table, with some supporters trying to pin the blame on players at St Andrew’s.

Lewis Koumas blasted as Birmingham City face another setback
Lewis Koumas is on loan from Liverpool for the season, and sadly for the 20-year-old attacker, some supporters are certain that he is “one of the worst footballers to ever wear the shirt.”
He had only replaced Demarai Gray as a substitute, but after failing to create a single chance against Derby, fans are ready for the young Welshman to be sent back to Anfield next month.
Having only come on in the 15th minute, Koumas was then replaced by Lyndon Dykes for the final 15 minutes, with his manager clearly feeling that his impact was not what was expected from him.
- @Sjgriff34: “Koumas is predictable and has zero end product. On the rare occasion he got his cross in, it was rubbish.”
- @TestMatchJosh: “Terminate Koumas and Cashin loan ASAP.”
- @AngeloP55200013: “Koumas needs sending back to Liverpool the second it hits January 1st, awful! Always loses his balance, decision-making abysmal, and the final ball is useless.”
Koumas’ disappointing performance in numbers vs Derby County
During his 63 minutes on the pitch, the 20-year-old created zero chances, failed to have a shot at goal, completed zero of his six attempted dribbles, and lost 100 per cent of his ground duels [FotMob].
He has yet to register a single goal or assist since signing for the Blues during the summer, and after his previous loan spell in the Championship, fans are expecting so much more from him.
During the 2024-25 campaign, Koumas notched six goals and three assists in 49 games for Stoke City, but he hardly looks like the shadow of his former self. Frustrating.
John Eustace‘s side had been down to 10 men since the 39th minute, adding even more frustration to the situation, but the Blues struggled to make the most of their chances created at home.
