Lawrence Shankland ‘will go’ to Rangers from what I’m told – expert
Rangers will sign Lawrence Shankland if they submit an appropriate bid to Hearts, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking to the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track Podcast, former Celtic and West Ham striker Frank McAvennie revealed that the Scottish league’s top scorer would make the move to Ibrox despite being comfortable at the Edinburgh side.
Shankland has been long linked with a move to the Gers, who made attempts to sign him in the January transfer window.
Football Insider revealed (26 January) that Rangers were keen on a late bid to land the Scotland international in the winter window but Hearts were not willing to sell him mid-season.

His deal at Hearts is set to expire in the summer of 2025, but Shankland has reportedly rejected multiple offers to sign a new deal and is not expected to extend his stay at Tynecastle.
The 28-year-old has been a standout in Scotland this season having bagged 20 goals in the league and 27 in all competitions.
McAvennie, who is well-connected to the ongoings of Scottish football, was confident Shankland would make the move.
“No disrespect to Hearts, but if an offer comes in from Rangers, Shankland will go there, that’s what I’ve been told by my sources,” he told the Inside Track Podcast.
“He’s a Rangers supporter, even though he’s comfortable at Hearts.”
