League Two postponements on the cards as Met Office send out Saturday weather warning
The Met Office have issued a weather warning across several areas of the UK for this weekend and it could be set to wreak havoc on the latest round of League Two fixtures.
The fourth tier is set to play host to plenty of exciting fixtures this weekend, with the likes of Salford City vs Colchester United and Chesterfield vs Barnet likely to have a big impact on the play-off picture.
League Two leaders Walsall play host to Shrewsbury in what promises to be a lively local clash, while there is also a meeting between Grimsby Town and Notts County, a fixture which has seen some staggering results in recent seasons.
However, several games could now be cast into doubt following the Met Office’s announcement, as clubs up and down the EFL prepare for a wet weekend.

Accrington Stanley vs Bromley in postponement danger
Blackburn Rovers have already seen two games abandoned this season, and Accrington Stanley could become the latest Lancashire outfit to see their game fall victim to the weather this weekend.
John Doolan’s side have enjoyed something of a resurgence in recent weeks, and they will be keen to try and extend their nine-game unbeaten run in all competitions when they welcome fourth-placed Bromley to the Wham Stadium.
However, that game could be set to come under threat, with Accrington falling inside the area that is covered by the Met Office’s yellow weather warning across the weekend.

The warning has been issued for heavy rain, and with travel disruption and potentially even flooding expected, it could have a major impact on Stanley’s latest home game.
Salford City vs Colchester United also under threat
Salford City are targeting promotion to League One yet again this season, but they may have their play-off push stopped in its tracks by the weather this weekend.
The weather warning is in place for large parts of the North West, and just sweeps close enough to Manchester to encompass Salford on the North side of the city.
Karl Robinson’s men are set to play host to Danny Cowley’s improving Colchester United in a 12.30pm kick-off, but that could easily become another fixture that is put in doubt by the weather.
The pitch at the Peninsula Stadium can often present problems, and with that in mind, it would be no surprise if there are concerns regarding a potential late postponement.
