Leeds 27-yr-old could be first to walk plank amid reported last chance saloon and likely exodus
Leeds United manager Paul Heckingbottom has recently claimed that there will be no major overhaul at Elland Road this summer after what has been a very poor season for the club.
However there are signs beginning to appear that there will in fact be a clearout of underperforming stars after the Yorkshire Evening Post reported that it could be “last chance saloon” for some of the Leeds players in the closing months of the campaign.
One senior Leeds player who must be watching his back is Eunan O’Kane after a series of dire performances in the Championship.
The 27-year-old has easily been one of the worst players since Heckingbottom replaced Thomas Christiansen at Elland Road, with abysmal showings against the likes of Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday.
His red card against Ipswich in January was also a clear sign that the midfielder is not someone who can be relied upon to follow orders after Christiansen demanded a show of discipline from his squad in the wake of a suspension nightmare.

O’Kane has been at Leeds since 2016 and was even handed a new deal which lasts until 2021 earlier this season.
Since then though his form has nosedived and he must be one of the first ones to walk the plank with clear signs that a mass exodus is unfolding at the club after Andrea Radrizzani showed he was not afraid to criticise the squad.
There could be plenty more to follow O’Kane who have had shocking seasons.
The Ireland international is perhaps the most obvious one, but there could be cases made for several of Victor Orta’s signings to be given the boot when the transfer window re-opens.
