Leeds ace Berardi delivers verdict on Radrizzani outburst, says what he will do if he has issue
Leeds United ace Gaetano Berardi has insisted that he has not read any of Andrea Radrizzani’s outburst when he questioned the commitment of the playing squad earlier this week.
The Whites chairman has been in a brutal mood over the past few days, hitting out at Wolves and their transfer policy before turning on his own players on TalkSport radio.
Berardi, 29, has been a mainstay of the Leeds squad this season making 29 appearances in all competitions.
Few can doubt the one-times Switzerland international’s passion and willingness to put his body on the line, and he says that if he has an issue with Radrizzani then he will keep it private and take it up with him face-to-face.
“I didn’t read what he said. Speaking with my team-mates, no-one said anything about it. We don’t care about what he says. If I have to say something to him, I speak with him, not here,” the full-back said, as quoted by Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay on his personal Twitter account on Thursday.

Berardi is one of the senior members of the Leeds squad and he is not fooling anyone when he says that he hasn’t heard what Radrizzani said earlier this week. Every single one of Paul Heckingbottom’s first team will have seen the club owner’s rant and that could go one of two ways. It could leave them fighting for their futures at Elland Road so performances improve, or the pressure will get to them and a summer sale will start to seem inevitable. Radrizzani offered a lot of players new deals earlier this season like Eunan O’Kane. He is one of them who should be paying attention to the comments made this week.
