Leeds United ace Tyler Roberts has congratulated Coventry City’s Jak Hickman after he agreed terms for a contract extension with the Midlands club.
The Sky Blues announced on their official website that Hickman, 19, had extended his stay at the Ricoh until June 2020 with the option of another year being added to it.
Hickman is yet to make a single senior appearance for Coventry, who are currently seventh in League Two.
Roberts, 19, signed for Leeds from West Brom in the January transfer window but is yet to play for the Yorkshire giants after suffering a leg injury.
The Wales Under-21 international costs the Whites a fee starting at £2.5million but fans will no doubt be gutted that he has not been able to make an appearance.
He was on his personal Twitter account on Thursday to congratulate Hickman on his deal.
“My Brother. Big Things, onwards and upwards, we keep grinding,” he said.

Football Insider verdict
It is a real shame that we are yet to see Roberts in action for Leeds. He is definitely someone who was signed with the view to him having a bigger role in the future but with so many first-teamers lacking form at the minute, there’s a chance that the former West Brom forward would be in the senior squad. Roberts was in good form at Walsall earlier this season during a six-month loan spell. The Saddlers have slipped down the League One table and sacked Jon Whitney, so they may be missing Roberts and his influence.
