It had been reported earlier this week that Lasogga could return against Villa on Friday, having missed Leeds’ last three matches through illness, but Christiansen confirmed he will not feature.
It means 23-year-old Caleb Ekuban is likely to start up front after he impressed in the 2-0 win over Yorkshire rivals Barnsley on Saturday lunchtime, in what was his first start since mid-August.
Midfielder Dallas has scored two goals in 13 Championship appearances for Whites this season, but missed the win at Barnsley with a foot injury he picked up in Northern Ireland’s World Cup qualifying play-off against Switzerland.
Christiansen said it was a “bad decision for the future” to play Dallas in the World Cup play-offs and that hints at a more long-term problem for the winger.
Meanwhile, Christiansen also confirmed that midfielder Eunan O’kane could return to the Leeds side tomorrow. The 27-year-old has been struggling with a hip problem and was substituted during the second half at Oakwell on Saturday.
Leeds are currently eighth in the Championship table and go into tomorrow night’s game six points behind fourth-placed Villa in this season’s promotion chase.
In other Leeds United news, Villa boss Steve Bruce has confirmed that this key midfielder will miss the game tomorrow.
