Leeds can terminate striker deal in January - reliable journalist
Leeds United can terminate Marcus Antonsson’s loan deal at Blackburn in January, according to a reliable journalist.
Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay claimed on his personal Twitter account on Thursday morning that while the Whites do have the option to sever the striker’s temporary stay at Ewood Park, they are unlikely to do so.
Leeds have the option to recall Antonsson in the January transfer window but are unlikely to do so. Happy at this stage to let him continue progressing with Blackburn.

Antonsson, 26, joined Blackburn on a season-long loan in the summer after struggling to make any sort of impact in the Leeds first-team last term.
The Swedish forward was pretty much third in the pecking order while Garry Monk was in charge behind Chris Wood and Souleymane Doukara.
Thomas Christiansen signed a clutch of new strikers in the summer and took the decision to ship Antonsson out to the League One side, where so far he has been able to impress.
The ex-Kalmar striker has made 19 appearances across all competitions for Rovers, scoring eight goals and supplying two assists in the process.

Four of his goals have come in his last five league outings.
Football Insider verdict
Antonsson is in good form in League One but there is still chance he would replicate that in the Championship if Leeds decided to recall him. Christiansen already has a good number of striker options available although injuries to Pierre-Michel Lasogga, Caleb Ekuban and Jay-Roy Grot recently have thinned the herd. Even with them out, Kemar Roofe and Pawel Cibicki are able to play there and put in a good shift. Antonsson is doing well at Blackburn and is best off left there until the end of his spell. If the Swedish striker gets a few more goals under his belt then clubs may come in for him again next summer with decent offers.
