Leeds’ chances of signing Jorgen Strand Larsen revealed as bid is submitted for Wolves’ striker

Leeds United are looking to sign Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen before the winter window closes.

Daniel Farke has been on the hunt for a striker at Elland Road as the Peacocks look to confirm their stay in the Premier League.

As a result, Strand Larsen has appeared as an option, with Leeds seeing a £30million bid rejected by Wolves on Friday.

Nevertheless, the bookies remain confident that the Peacocks can seal the deal before the transfer window closes.

Leeds odds-on favourites to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen before the transfer window closes

With Wolves essentially relegated from the Premier League, the Old Gold side are seemingly willing to part with some of their star players before their return to the Championship becomes official.

Strand Larsen has been linked away from Molineux for some time, with the striker struggling to perform this season.

In the Premier League, he has only netted once, with the bulk of his goals coming in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup this campaign.

However, Leeds have now emerged as the frontrunners for the Norway international as Farke looks to return him to form.

Now, according to one bookmaker, Strand Larsen is more likely to be at Elland Road than Molineux come the end of the transfer window.

The striker is 8/11 to be a Leeds player after deadline day, whereas he is 3/1 to remain at Wolves.

Who else is in the running for Strand Larsen’s signature?

On top of Leeds United, Crystal Palace are also believed to be in the running for Strand Larsen’s signature.

The Eagles are 9/4 to secure the deal, as they look to get their form back on track.

Jean-Philippe Mateta’s recent request to leave Crystal Palace may also add extra incentive to the Croydon side to get the deal done.

Another potential destination is Everton. The Toffees are deemed outsiders for Strand Larsen’s signature at 12/1. However, Everton are in dire need of a new striker given the inconsistent form of Beto and Thierno Barry.

Nottingham Forest are also listed as a potential destination at 16/1. Sean Dyche’s side are currently competing with Leeds to stay in the division and will not want to see Strand Larsen move to the Peacocks this winter window.
