Leeds employee salutes ‘massive talent’ after Jesse Marsch reveal – ‘he’s turning heads’
Noel Whelan has claimed “massive talent” Charlie Cresswell could make his Leeds United breakthrough under new boss Jesse Marsch.
The former Whites striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 19-year-old has a “massive future” at the Yorkshire club.
Cresswell has made three starts for Leeds United this term and is already capped by England at under-21 level.

As quoted by Leeds Live (3 March), Marsch identified the centre-back as one of the youngsters who has “caught the eye” since his arrival on Monday.
The former RB Leipzig manager hailed the youngster as someone who “works really hard” on the training pitch.
Whelan claimed Cresswell has a “great opportunity” to stake his claim for a starting berth after “turning heads with the new staff”.
“We know he’s a massive talent,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“He’s got such composure on the ball and that’s one of the reasons he’s been introduced to the England set-up at the younger levels.
“He has got a massive future at the club, because he’s got everything you could want from a centre-half.
“He’s got that stature, power, aerial dominance, he’s aggressive. The more options we can have in that position, the better.
“He’s got a great opportunity to impress now because everyone is playing off a clean slate under the new manager.
“He’s turning heads with the new staff and he could well become that breakthrough youngster.
“We’re all very excited about him for next season, but he could even come in this season – especially if our luck with injuries continues.”

Marsch’s first task as Leeds United boss is to overcome mid-table Leicester City at the King Power Stadium tomorrow.
The Whites sit 16th in the Premier League.
