Leeds Exclusive: Journalist update on Gotts joining new team next season, Brown: 'Perfect'
Michael Brown believes former Leeds United under-23s coach Carlos Corberan is the “perfect appointment” for Huddersfield Town.
The former Whites midfielder, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, suggested that the Terriers will be looking to develop young players and insisted Corberan is the best person to implement that.
Journalist Alan Nixon has reported that the Spaniard could bring in Robbie Gotts on loan for the season and Brown believes this would give the 20-year-old the confidence to perform.
“We’re going to see youth at Huddersfield for certain,” Brown told Football Insider.
“They’ve got a young coach and a good set up. Leigh Bromby is there as director of football and they are looking to recruit. I know everyone is working hard.

“It’ll be tough for them because the models that are about in terms of youth and bringing people through, so I think it’s the perfect appointment to try and do that.
“Obviously, he knows the young players very well and has a great link to Leeds so Gotts will have the confidence to go and play for somebody like that.”
Gotts made his debut for Leeds in their narrow FA Cup defeat to Arsenal in January and has been a regular for the under-23 side for some time.
His progress forced Marcelo Bielsa to admit to the Yorkshire Evening Post in December he felt guilty that he was not giving him more time on the pitch.
The Harrogate-born youngster was named on the bench 35 times before he made his first-team debut for the Whites.
