Charlie Taylor is in line for a recall to the Leeds United team for their Championship trip to Burton on Saturday.
The Leeds 2015-16 player of the year has been on the substitute’s bench for the last four matches after being preferred to Gaetano Berardi.
But Taylor delivered an impressive cameo in the second half of the Yorkshire giants’ shock 1-0 defeat to Wolves on Monday, which could persuade Garry Monk to give him the nod ahead of the versatile Berardi.
Monk could make a major shake-up of the side following the poor performance at Elland Road at the start of the week, with four changes in total.
In addition to Taylor replacing Berardi, Leeds could also bring in Ronaldo Vieira, Souleymane Doukara and Hadi Sacko for Kalvin Phillips, Alfonso Pedraza and Kemar Roofe.
Monk confirmed on Thursday that Vieira is fully recovered after missing the last two matches due to illness.
He could replace fellow academy product Phillips in central midfield, as the manager looks to revive an area of the pitch where the team have struggled in the last month.
Further up the pitch, the attacking midfield slots are all up for grabs as a result of a lack of penetration from those positions in recent matches.
This could mean recalls for the jet-heeled Sacko and the powerhouse Doukara, who were both second-half substitutes against Derby.
In other Leeds United news, a stunning £14million bid is being prepared as deal edges closer with Premier League big hitters.
