Senior player axed in two changes: Leeds expected XI v Preston
Leeds United manager Paul Heckingbottom is expected to make two changes to his side ahead of the clash against Preston at Deepdale on Tuesday night.
Gaetano Berardi will definitely miss the game through suspension after he was sent off in the 1-1 draw with Sunderland at the weekend, so youngster Tom Pearce is expected to come in at left-back.
Heckingbottom may also rotate his forward options and axe Pierre-Michel Lasogga after a poor performance against the Black Cats and opt to play Kemar Roofe up front instead after the 25-year-old returned from injury on Saturday.
After a superb performance against Sunderland, Bailey Peacock-Farrell is expected to keep his place in goal behind a back four of Stuart Dallas, Pontus Jansson, Paudie O’Connor and Pearce.
Ronaldo Vieira and Kalvin Phillips are likely to line-up in an unchanged midfield with Samuel Saiz in the No 10 role and Ezgjan Alioski and Pablo Hernandez on either wing.
Roofe may get the nod to start up front after a series of frustrating performances by senior player Lasogga and Caleb Ekuban.
