Leeds fans all say the same thing about sensational Kalvin Phillips return

Leeds United are on the brink of earning promotion back to the Premier League, and the club are already starting to prepare potential transfer targets to deal with the step up to the English top flight.

Football Insider revealed that Leeds are looking to strengthen their options upfront which is why the club tried to sign Southampton’s Cameron Archer in January.

Archer is expected to remain a transfer option in the summer, but they are also considering a huge move for former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.

Industry insider Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider that Leeds are going to be “all over” Abraham, which would inject a lot of quality into the team.

However, the Championship leaders must secure promotion first and the run-in is set to be an intense one.

Leeds are currently level on points with Sheffield United, while Burnley are just two points behind the two Yorkshire giants.

Leeds could look to re-sign Kalvin Phillips

Leeds are going to be looking for Premier League experience this summer if they secure promotion and Football Insider has previously revealed that could lead them back to Kalvin Phillips.

The England international is currently on loan from Man City at Ipswich Town, but Leeds’ scouting department have been tracking his progress.

Phillips is expected to leave City during the summer transfer window after failing to make his mark at the club since joining from Leeds in 2022 in a £45million deal.

Leeds could offer Phillips the opportunity to return to his boyhood club in a bid to restart his career back where he initially made his name.

Leeds fans aren’t sold on Kalvin Phillips returning

Phillips played the best football of his career at Elland Road, which led to him becoming a regular at international level under Gareth Southgate.

However, his poor form in recent years has led to fans of the Yorkshire giants questioning whether re-signing him would be best for business.
