Leeds fans all say the same thing after ‘astounding’ Rasmus Kristensen news
Rasmus Kristensen’s long-term future finally being decided has been met with a unanimous response from Leeds United fans.
The Denmark international hasn’t been seen in a Leeds shirt since their relegation from the Premier League was confirmed in May 2023, making successive loan moves to Roma and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Roma, who also loaned Diego Llorente for a season and a half between January 2023 and last summer, decided against signing Kristensen permanently, but his form has improved markedly in Germany.
Daniel Farke’s current Leeds side are are firmly back on course for a return to the top-flight with just four games left to play this term, but Kristensen doesn’t look set to be part of their plans next season either.

Rasmus Kristensen seals £7.7m Leeds United exit
Frankfurt have made their intentions clear to make Kristensen’s loan permanent at season’s end, with Leeds fans shocked at the prospect of earning back the full £10million they paid RB Salzburg in 2022.
However, Beren Cross reported for The Athletic on 16 April that Leeds and the Bundesliga side have now agreed a permanent fee totalling £7.7m to sign the 27-year-old, paying an initial £5.1m plus add-ons.
Leeds will therefore not recoup the entirety of the fee they paid Salzburg under the instruction of Jesse Marsch three years ago, but with finances tight at Elland Road, won’t record a loss in terms of PSR.
Leeds United and Eintracht Frankfurt have agreed a deal for Rasmus Kristensen. Permanent transfer will go through when the summer window opens. Package worth up to £7.7m. #lufc https://t.co/XrYJEP2dJr

Leeds fans react to ‘donkey’ Kristensen’s departure
The Elland Road faithful were already surprised enough that Kristensen, alongside another former player in Robin Koch, was impressing in the Bundesliga, and even more so at Frankfurt’s decision to buy him.
With Leeds expected to give Daniel Farke a sizeable transfer budget if promoted, further finance brought in by his sale will be useful, even with some fans saying that Frankfurt have “overspent by £7.7m”.
Kristensen’s time in LS11 isn’t remembered fondly, with fans aplenty happy to see the back of a “donkey” whose abiding memory for some Leeds fans will be the fact that they have “seen milk turn quicker”.
The Dane being viewed by some as “one of the worst signings in our [Leeds’] history” could take some beating, but it remains to be seen to what extent Farke’s squad will be strengthened this summer.
If we’ve managed to get money for this donkey then fair plays.
