'Clueless coach', 'Fuming' - Leeds fans blast Christiansen after midfielder injury revelation
By Danny Wright
Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to blast manager Thomas Christiansen after it was revealed that Eunan O’Kane played with cracked ribs in the defeat to Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.
O’Kane, 27, is currently on international duty with the Republic of Ireland and boss Martin O’Neill has made it public that the midfielder played all 90 minutes of the 3-0 loss at Hillsborough on Sunday after having a pain-killing injection.
The ex-Bournemouth ace was one of the worst performers on the pitch in the poor defeat to Sheffield Wednesday and has openly admitted that he was at fault for Kieran Lee’s second half goal.
Leeds supporters have now shown their anger at Christiansen for risking O’Kane in such a high-stakes Yorkshire derby, especially when there were other options available to him.
One player that many believe should have played instead was youngster Ronaldo Vieira, who is very highly rated by the Elland Road faithful after a brilliant season last time out under the charge of Garry Monk.

Maybe so but enough for him to be second to someone playing with broken ribs? Aguero is out for up to 2 months with 1 broken rib! I like TC but think he's got this one massively wrong.

Fuming Chris. Vieira has to start these games that O’kane isn’t fit for.

I wouldn’t be happy if I were Vieira or Klich

It's the clueless coach

Why oh why didn't TC play with Vieira?

O’Kane has been pivotal in the Leeds squad this season and was left out of the side that lost to Cardiff last week, seemingly to be rested.
However it may be the case that his cracked ribs were the problem, which led him to missing out on his first Championship game of the campaign.
In other Leeds United news, this Whites player has suffered an injury blow and is set to miss some crucial upcoming games.
