'Sack him now', 'Embraced the banter' - Leeds fans blow their top at Heck decision v Preston
Leeds United fans have been left apoplectic on social media after Paul Heckingbottom’s decision to start the likes of Jay-Roy Grot in the starting XI against Preston North End on Tuesday evening.
The Whites confirmed their line up at Deepdale via their official Twitter account, which confirmed that the boss had made four changes from the side which drew 1-1 against Sunderland on Saturday.

The suspended Gaetano Berardi, who was sent off against the Black Cats, was joined by Ezgjan Alioski, Samu Saiz and Pierre Michel-Lasogga in being dropped from the team, Heckingbottom choosing to replace them with Vurnon Anita, Kemar Roofe, Caleb Ekuban and Grot, the young Dutch striker making his very first league start for the Whites.
After what was a disappointing performance and result against the relegation strugglers at Elland Road, the manager chose to switch up his attack, but it has led to the Leeds faithful blowing their tops on social media, with many voicing serious doubts over the quality of their attack.
Here, Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the supporters’ best tweets:
Don't expect a lot of goals tonight, has the manager not learnt anything?

Sack him now, in nearly 50 years of supporting Leeds this has to be the worst strike force picked for a game

In with a shout of worst Leeds XI ever. Three cheers for ‘Radz’

Ahead of kick off, Leeds sit 13th in the Championship table, knowing that victory could push them above Norwich City if the Canaries fail to beat Sunderland, and would put them three points behind Preston.
