Leeds fans demand Daniel Farke is sacked as Portsmouth footage analysed
Leeds United fans are calling for Daniel Farke to be sacked after the 3-3 draw with Portsmouth in their opening Championship fixture.
The clash at Elland Road saw plenty of drama after newly-promoted Portsmouth thought they had won it following a Callum Lang penalty in the 92nd minute.
However, Brenden Aaronson equalised in the fifth minute of added time, before sliding one wide from a similar position just minutes later, missing the chance to take all three points.
Despite the late drama involving Aaronson, it was Farke who took the brunt of the criticism for the result as fans’ frustrations began to boil over already.
The main issue among fans was the manager’s choice of substitutes.
Wilfried Gnonto and Dan James were withdrawn in the 72nd minute, while Patrick Bamford replaced Mateo Joseph in the 79th, leaving Leeds weakened in attack.
This saw their forward play stifled somewhat despite their late chances, as they failed to take advantage of their dominance over 90 minutes.

Having failed to win their opening game of the season despite the favourable fixture placement, questions have begun to emerge about Farke’s position.
A large section of the fanbase had called for the boss to lose his job following the defeat in last season’s playoff final defeat, and a poor start to this year has cemented their views.
After the game, fans flocked to social media to voice their frustrations as Farke was labelled “tactically inept” and “out of his depth”.
