'Cut above', 'Brilliant', See why Man City want him - Leeds fans demand teen ace is fast-tracked
By Richard Parks
Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to call for Jack Clarke to be promoted from the Under-23s into the first team squad following his latest masterclass.
United’s development side continued their impressive run with a convincing 4-0 win against Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Monday night.
A Sam Dalby goal, a Tyler Denton strike and an own goal ensured Carlos Corberan’s side ended their Professional Development League campaign in style.
Clarke, who signed a professional contract with Leeds on his 17th birthday last November, has tormented defenders at age-group level in recent months.
He was so effective at Under-18s level that he was promoted to the Under-23s, where he has continued to shine just as brightly.

Now many United fans are calling for manager Paul Heckingbottom to fast-track him into the senior XI following successful recent promotions for fellow academy products Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Paudie O’Connor and Tom Pearce.
Among the comments are that he is a “cut above” and it is obvious why the Manchester City-linked teen is in the sights of the big guns.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Denton, Rey and Clarke should be given a chance this weekend and next, impressive. #LUFC

If Jack Clarke keeps his head down and we as a club manage him properly then he will have a big future. You can see why Man City to name one club was after him. #LUFC
