'Never see sight of a Leeds jersey again' - Fans call for senior player to be omitted v Derby

By Richard Parks
Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to urge manager Paul Heckingbottom not to recall Liam Cooper to the starting XI for Wednesday night’s clash against Derby County.
Skipper Cooper is available for selection after serving a four-match suspension as the new boss has the option of selecting him, along with Samuel Saiz and Gaetano Berardi, for the first time.
Heckingbottom has revealed that the senior trio are “champing at the bit” to play at Pride Park following their absences from the team.
Cooper has been a mainstay of the team this season, making 26 appearances, which have included 24 league starts.
But a section of Leeds supporters have taken to social media to urge Heckingbottom to persist with on-loan Matthew Pennington as the defensive partner for main man Pontus Jansson.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Leeds are 11th in the Championship table after the weekend fixtures and must win at Derby to reignite their play-off hopes after slipping eight points behind sixth-placed Bristol City.
In other Leeds United news, Paul Robinson drools over the one player at Elland Road who has blown him away this season.
