Leeds United fans are fearing Georginio Rutter could be the next star to leave Elland Road after a new release clause twist.
Crysencio Summerville left Leeds to join West Ham on 3 August, and the club confirmed in a statement that the Hammers had “triggered an exit clause in his contract”.
That exit clause had previously been unmentioned, leading fans to speculate over which other players in the squad will have a similar clause.
Rutter, who arrived from Hoffenheim in January 2023, was put forward as one of the players who would most likely have an exit clause in his deal, leading to fears he will be next to leave.
The Frenchman has attracted interest from Brighton this summer, as Football Insider revealed that the South Coast club are preparing a fresh offer for his signature.
