'Awesome', 'Long-term contract now' - Leeds fans drool over player after Sat display (not Pablo)

By Richard Parks

Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to hail Bailey Peacock-Farrell after his performance in their team’s 1-1 Championship draw against Sunderland on Saturday.

The goalkeeper, 21, was handed his sixth consecutive start by manager Paul Heckingbottom as United failed to once again win at Elland Road.

But the Leeds academy product delivered a fine display and was praised for his performance by both Heckingbottom and opposition manager Chris Coleman.

Peacocjk-Farrell has made a good impression since being promoted from the youth-team ranks ahead of senior duo Felix Wiedwald and Andrew Lonergan.

Leeds’ results have been poor since the turn of the year but Heckingbottom’s faith in the youngster has been justified, particularly in light of some dodgy performances from the defenders in front of him.
