
Leeds fans left reeling by ‘monumental’ Ethan Ampadu injury update
Leeds United fans believe the squad has been dealt a “huge loss” as Daniel Farke has confirmed Ethan Ampadu will be unavailable for 10 weeks.
The 24-year-old suffered his knee injury during their 3-0 win against Coventry on Saturday (28 September).
The Wales international had to be substituted in the 41st minute after getting hurt when making a challenge, and Farke has now confirmed the details surrounding the injury.
The Whites manager revealed that it is a “serious knee injury” during his press conference on Monday (30 September), which will stretch his defensive options.
The club captain has been used as a defensive midfielder this season but is also comfortable playing as a centre-back.
Having started all seven of Leeds’ Championship fixtures to date, his injury is going to force a major change in Farke’s typical starting lineup.
