Leeds fans react to Jay-Roy Grot cameo against Burton
By Harry Sykes
Leeds United summer signing Jay-Ray Grot made his second appearance for the team in their 5-0 demolition of Burton on Saturday – and fans on Twitter were blown away by his pace and power.
Grot arrived at Elland Road last month after signing from Dutch club NEC for an initial £750,000 in a deal that could rise to £1.5million.
The 19-year-old is one of four strikers jostling for the centre-forward spot in the Leeds starting XI and missed out to deadline day signing Pierre-Michel Lasogga on Saturday afternoon.
Lasogga scored twice on a memorable debut and further goals from Kalvin Phillips, Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe put Burton to the sword to the extent United were already five goals up when Grot entered the pitch after 62 minutes.
The teenage forward came on as a replacement for Lasogga and supporters raved about his size and physicality.

May Grot have mercy on you! 5-0 up and #LUFC puts on John Carew and Chris Wood’s lovechild. Good luck, Burton.
