Leeds fans react on Twitter to Bridcutt missing Cardiff clash

By Amir Mir

Leeds supporters on Twitter agreed that captain Liam Bridcutt is a huge loss for their side in their clash against Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon.

The 27-year-old has been ruled out for Garry Monk’s side through injury and supporters felt his presence will be missed during the game.

One supporter pointed out that Eunan O’Kane will need to step up in place of their captain, as the under-fire Monk searches for his third victory of the season.

Another fan stated that they will lack experience in the middle of the park, as 18-year-old Ronaldo Vieira looks to make another impression.

Bridcutt has appeared in four Championship games for manager Monk this season, including their victories against Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn.

The club also announced that Kyle Bartley will captain the side for their clash in Cardiff, as regular skipper Bridcutt misses out.

Monk’s side secured a last-gasp winner against Blackburn on Tuesday night, as the former Premier League manager looks for his sides third victory of the season.

The Whites sit in 18th positon in the Championship table with seven points having picked up two wins, four losses and one draw so far this season.
