Twins brother Ronaldo and Romario Vieira have signed Leeds contracts – and supporters took to Twitter to express their delight over the double deal.

The Yorkshire side revealed on their official Twitter account on Thursday that Ronaldo, 18, had agreed to extend his contract with a new three-year deal.

Immediately afterwards, the club also announced the signing of Vieira’s twin brother Romario, who will join up with the club’s development squad.

Fans of the Yorkshire giants are delighted with the news and made light of the fact that their club now has two players named Vieira, as well as commenting on their first names Romario and Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has started five of Leeds’ seven matches this season in central midfield and has emerged as a pivotal figure under new manager Garry Monk.

With the club’s new deadline-day signing Eunan O’Kane expected to slot into Leeds’ starting eleven, it leaves the teenager’s starting spot in the side in doubt.

However, with the club’s ethos on young players he will still be expected to get a lot of first-team experience under his belt in the new campaign.
