Leeds fans react on Twitter to Doukara display v Barnsley

By Dominic Toner

Souleymane Doukara played the full 90 minutes against Barnsley on Saturday- and the Leeds supporters were furious with his performance on Twitter.

The 25-year-old failed to make a major impact on the game as the Whites suffered a 3-2 away defeat in the Championship.

Chris Wood continued his remarkable goalscoring form this season with another two goals, but Tom Bradshaw, Ryan Kent and Conor Hourihane secured the three points for Barnsley in the Yorkshire derby.

Garry Monk’s side are now fourth in the Championship table and are nine points adrift of the automatic places.

Leeds fans highlighted the display of Doukara in the defeat and believe he struggled.

Doukara has been a permanent feature in the club’s starting XI, but could now face a battle to keep his position.

The attacker usually operates from the left wing and has played a big role in Leeds’ push for promotion.

He has netted four goals and supplied three assists in 20 appearances this season, but has not scored in his last five games.

Leeds fans believe that Doukara needs to improve if he is to stay in the team, with Stuart Dallas a potential player who could replace him.

In other Leeds news, they are set to complete a midfielder transfer on Monday.
