Leeds United fans reacted on Twitter after wonderkid Ryan Edmondson made his senior debut in the 2-0 win against QPR at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.

Edmondson, 16, has been tearing it up in the Under-18s this season and was rewarded with a spot on the bench by Paul Heckingbottom ahead of the final game of the Championship season.

The teenage striker came off the bench to a great reception in the 73rd minute to replace goalscorer Kemar Roofe, whose bicycle kick put Leeds ahead in the 30th minute.

Kalvin Phillips doubled the Whites advantage just after half-time and after controlling the bulk of the second-half, Heckingbottom saw it fit to introduce Edmondson for his first ever appearance for Leeds.

The centre-forward almost scored with his first touch of the game before picking up what was seen as a harsh yellow card for a shove on a QPR player.

Whites fans took to social media to offer their first impressions of the 16-year-old as the Yorkshire giants rounded off the season on a high.

Ahead of the game, Heckingbottom suggested that he would give either Edmondson or Sam Dalby a chance to earn their debut against QPR.

Edmondson was in the squad that travelled to Norwich last week, but failed to even make it on the bench.
