Leeds fans react on Twitter to starting XI v Huddersfield

By Alex Taylor

Leeds have named their team to face Huddersfield at Elland Road on Saturday – and fans have taken to Twitter to give their verdict on the line-up.

Gary Monk has made three changes to the team that lost 3-1 to Nottingham Forest in late August in a bid to secure Leeds’ second win of their Championship campaign.

Pontus Jansson, Kalvin Phillips and Alex Mowatt replace Liam Cooper, Ronaldo Vieira and Pablo Hernandez in the starting XI.

The Whites have struggled after picking up just four points from their first five domestic matches this season.

Some supporters  were glad to see Eunan O’Kane omitted while others praised the line-up, saying it contained the best available back-four.

Leeds currently lie 21st in the Championship table and will be hoping for a change of fortunes against David Wagner’s side.

The Yorkshire outfit will need to start picking up three points if they are to return to the England’s top-flight next season.

In other Leeds team news, Monk should axe Marcus Antonsson and play an extra midfielder as the Whites boss prepares a game plan to overcome league leaders Huddersfield this weekend.
