Leeds fans react on Twitter to Vieira display v Brighton

By Dominic Toner

Ronaldo Vieira completed 90 minutes in the victory over Brighton – and the club’s supporters raved about his performance on Twitter.

The 18-year-old has emerged as one of the best young players at Elland Road and stood out on Saturday evening.

The Whites earned an impressive 2-0 home victory against Brighton in the Championship and strengthened their grip on the play-off places.

Talisman Chris Wood continued his sensational form with both goals, but the club’s supporters were quick to praise his team-mate, instead.

Leeds fans expressed their delight about Vieira’s performance in the centre of the park and feel he dominated the midfield battle.

Vieira has established himself as an important player for Garry Monk this season and proved against Brighton why he is being tipped for a big future.

The central midfielder managed to win his individual battle against second-placed Brighton and was colossal alongside Liam Bridcutt.

Vieira demonstrated that he is an all round midfielder, who can flourish in both attacking and defensive areas.

He will hope to continue impressing fans this season and push the team towards promotion.

Leeds moved up fourth with their win against Brighton and are looking in good shape for at least a play-off spot, with an eight-point cushion over Fulham in seventh.

In other Leeds news, Andy Ritchie believes it’s too soon to say whether the club’s player is ready for the Premier League.
