Leeds fans react on Twitter to Wagner being named best Championship manager
By Amir Mir
David Wagner has been named the best Championship manager of the 2016/17 season – and Leeds fans on Twitter don’t agree with the decision.
Huddersfield boss Wagner was given recognition for guiding his side to promotion chasers, despite many thinking they would be fighting a relegation battle at the start of the season.
At this moment in time, the Terriers are third in the table, six points behind second-placed Brighton with a game in hand.

Furthermore, they are well on course to secure a play-off spot because they are ten points ahead of seventh-placed Fulham with eight games of the season remaining.
Unsurprisingly, the Elland Road faithful felt that their senior figure, Garry Monk, should have been named ahead of the German.

Former Swansea boss Monk took charge of the Whites in the summer and he has surprised many by moulding the team into promotion hopefuls.
His team currently sit one place and two points behind their Yorkshire rivals and they could meet in the play-off final at Wembley in May.
Leeds defender Pontus Jansson was named in the side and one fan joked that their popular player would knock Wagner out.
Supporters saw the funny side of Wagner managing Jansson after both sides were involved in a mini-brawl during their Championship clash in February.
Overall, fans were pleased to see two Whites players named in the Championship Team of the Season but disagreed with Wagner’s selection.
