Leeds United fans have taken to social media to blast manager Paul Heckingbottom for naming Adam Forshaw on the bench for the club’s clash against Middlesbrough on Friday night.
The Whites announced their starting XI for the match at the Riverside via their official Twitter account, revealing that the boss had made no changes from the side which beat Brentford 1-0 last weekend.

Heckingbottom chose to keep faith with the same line up that saw off the Bees, as the club look to pick up two successive victories for the first time since their fixtures either side of Christmas.
However there were some changes on the bench, Laurens De Bock joining Forshaw in returning to the first team, but the decision not to start the former Boro midfielder had fans up in arms on Twitter, with many suggesting he should be starting ahead of Eunan O’Kane in the middle.
Here, Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the supporters’ best tweets:

Can’t help but say Forshaw should definitely be starting over O’Kane. Also Anita is gonna get run silly by Traore, could be a disaster tonight.. #LUFC

Leeds’ win over the Bees was their first victory of 2018, having gone on a streak of 10 games without picking up three points, a run which stretched back to Boxing Day.
Middlesbrough meanwhile come into the clash having been just minutes away from securing the win away at north east rivals Sunderland last weekend, only for an equaliser from the Black Cats in the sixth minute of injury time to ensure the points were shared in an enthralling 3-3 draw.
It was the Whites who came out on top in the reverse fixture, Ezgjan Alioski and Pablo Hernandez netting in a 2-1 win at Elland Road.
