Leeds fans react the same as ‘Karl Darlow to permanently replace Illan Meslier’
Leeds United supporters have called for Karl Darlow to replace Illan Meslier permanently after his FA Cup performance.
The 34-year-old shot-stopper started ahead of Meslier on Saturday (11 January) as the Whites beat Harrogate Town 1-0 in the FA Cup.
It was only his second appearance of the season as Daniel Farke has neglected to play him at all in the Championship, with this being his first clean sheet.
The Wales international first joined the Yorkshire giants in 2023 and is under contract at Elland Road until 2026.
The former Newcastle goalkeeper boasts tons of experience having made 251appearances throughout his entire career, where he has kept 73 clean sheets.
Leeds fans want Karl Darlow to start more regularly
Leeds supporters have been calling for Meslier to be dropped from the team at various stages this season due to costly errors in his performances.
However, after Darlow’s performance the Whites faithful now want to see him given the chance in the Championship as well.
