'Fantastic signing', 'Yes please' - Leeds fans react as deal all but done for centre-forward reportedly

By Richard Parks

Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight as the club reportedly close in on the signing of Swansea City striker Oli McBurnie.

The Sun claim the prolific Premier League striker is set to return to his hometown club after thriving during a loan spell at Barnsley in the second half of the season.

It is said that McBurnie, 21, has decided to snub Swansea’s offer of an extension to his contract, which is due to expire in June, and instead head to Leeds.

The Sun report that the Yorkshire giants are closing in on the versatile front man despite interest from rivals such as Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County.

McBurnie has scored eight goals in 13 matches since joining Barnsley on loan in the January window.
