'Perfect present', 'Sack Heckingbottom' - Leeds fans react to official tweet about Hernandez
Leeds United fans have been reacting on Twitter after the club wished Pablo Hernandez happy birthday.
Hernandez turned 33-years-old on Wednesday, but all Leeds supporters could talk about was whether the Spaniard would be agreeing a new deal at Elland Road with his current contract due to expire in a matter of months.
The Yorkshire Evening Post has reported that the Whites are still locked in talks with the former Swansea and Valencia attacker, however there does appear to be progress with the club apparently caving into his demands after seeing his form escalate to a new level in the past month.
Hernandez is a shoe-in to win player of the season at the Yorkshire giants and has made 40 appearances in all competitions for them this term, scoring nine goals and supplying 10 assists in the progress.
On their official Twitter account on Wednesday, Leeds wished happy birthday to Hernandez, but that only gave fans a platform to urge the club to tie up a new deal for the Elland Road favourite.
