Leeds United fans have been left raving on social media after hearing speculation that Marco Silva could be set to take over at Elland Road at the end of the season.
The former Watford manager, who was sacked back in January after being courted by Everton is thought to be one of the favourites, as stated by HITC, for the position should the axe fall on Paul Heckingbottom this summer.
Heckingbottom’s reign has hardly inspired an upturn in results as the former Barnsley boss has won just three times since taking over from Thomas Christiansen in February.
His poor form and decisions have led to question marks over the future of the Whites manager at the Championship outfit by supporters who wonder whether he has the ability to lead a club the size of Leeds back into the Premier League, where they are aiming for.
Judging by reactions to their club being linked with Silva, fans clearly feel as though the Portuguese would be a step up from Heck and would love to see the former Hull City and Hornets boss in the hotseat at Elland Road, despite being relegated with one and sacked by the other.
Here is a round-up of some reactions from supporters on social media commenting on the speculation:

If we somehow could get Marco Silva at Leeds I'd combust.
Would be a huge statement of intent. 99% sure it won't happen though

That Leeds United Espana account tweeting that Silva is the likely replacement we'd go for.
Now that is something I can get behind. #lufc
