Leeds fans react on Twitter to confirmed three new arrivals

By Alex Stevens

Leeds fans reacted with delight on Twitter at the shake-up in the club’s boardroom.

Companies House have confirmed on their website that the Championship club have appointed three new directors to their board in a major reshuffle following the arrival of new co-owner Andrea Radrizzani.

The Italian sports media mogul is joined in the new-look boardroom by two of his colleagues from Aser Group Holding, investments and strategy expert Andre Tegner, 43, and lawyer and negotiator Feng Ze Yeh, 36.

The trio replace Edoardo Cellino, who is the son of joint-owner Massimo Cellino, and Giampaolo Caboni as directors of the club.

Leeds supporters took to social media to hail the boardroom shake-up, with many taking particular pleasure in the fact that Cellino junior will have no involvement.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Edoardo Cellino was banned and fined by the Football Association in April of last year after calling a supporter a “spastic” and a “moron” in social media posts.

Representatives from Aser, the investment vehicle which fronted Radrizzani’s purchase of a 50 per cent stake in Leeds, now make up half of a new six-man board.

Cellino remains as a director along with Daniel Arty, his American financial advisor, and Niccolo Baratierri Di San Pietro, a representative of the Abu Dhabi Financial Group (ADFG) who joined while Gulf Finance House was a minority shareholder at Leeds.

The major changes at the top of the club come into the public domain after Leeds announced on Wednesday of last week that Radrizzani has become joint owner.

In other Leeds news, the club are in advanced talks to sign a Bundesliga assists machine.
