Leeds

On-loan Leeds striker Lee Erwin has kickstarted his career with three league goals in three games – and fans have taken to Twitter to praise the youngster.

Erwin, who is on a season-long loan at third-tier Oldham, scored both of the team’s goals in their 2-1 win against Oxford on Tuesday night.

It took the forward’s tally to three in his last three matches in what has been his most prolific form of the campaign.

Erwin has scored five times and supplied two assists in 32 matches in all competitions for League One Oxford this season, and is now set for a run in the starting XI after being regularly on the bench in recent months.

Leeds fans are delighted that the versatile 22-year-old, who can play in the central striker role or on the left wing, has made an impact at the Latics and some have suggested he could play a role for Garry Monk’s side in the end-of-season play-offs when his Oldham commitments are complete.
