Leeds fans react on Twitter to Hernandez display v Preston

By Harvey Byrne

Attacker Pablo Hernandez played 88 minutes of Leeds’ win against Preston on Saturday – and Whites fans on Twitter were delighted with his display.

The 31-year-old has come under some criticism in recent matches for struggling to make an impact in matches.

However, he has shown glimpses of his ability throughout the season for the Yorkshire giants and he proved his class once more at Elland Road.

The experienced Spaniard bagged his side’s second goal of the match after Kemar Roofe opened the scoring in a 3-0 victory which was rounded up by substitute Souleymane Doukara.

Many were keen to pick out Hernandez for praise after the game on social media with one fan sharing that today’s performance is why he doesn’t get dropped, while another hailed him as “fantastic”.

Hernandez joined Leeds in the summer on a loan move which was then turned into a permanent deal in the winter.

He has so far featured in 33 matches for the club, bringing a return of five goals and eight assists.
