Marcos Silvestri was rewarded for his heroics in Leeds’ penalty shoot-out victory against Norwich in the EFL Cup with a place in the Team of the Round and fans have reacted with delight on Twitter.
The Leeds keeper secured his side a place in the quarter-finals after denying Robbie Brady and Alex Pritchard from the penalty spot.
Garry Monk was named the fantasy team’s best manager too after Leeds claimed their hard-earned their victory against Norwich on Tuesday evening.
The EFL Cup’s official Twitter account released the team on Friday afternoon and Silvestri was rewarded for his heroics, alongside Monk who has seemingly started to turn things around at Leeds.

The Whites have lined up a tough quarter-final clash against Liverpool in November as Jurgen Klopp’s side defeated Tottenham 2-0, despite making 11 changes from their Premier League squad that faced West Brom on Saturday.
