Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to express their support after Ryan Edmondson reflected on a “great” finish to his season.

The striker, 16, rounded off a memorable finale to the campaign by making his Championship debut and then scoring the winner for the club last Friday in the second of two post-season friendlies in Myanmar.

Edmondson claimed on his personal Twitter account it was the ideal way to “finish off an amazing season” and he is looking forward to hitting the ground running after a summer break.

The United front man cut a lively presence in two matches on the controversial as he seized his opportunity as Paul Heckingbottom fielded experimental line-ups made of seniors and academy products.

Edmondson was fast-tracked into the Leeds first team this month as Heckingbottom laid the foundations for next season.
