'Not fit for the shirt', 'One way ticket to the moon' - Leeds fans rip into player for display
By Richard Parks
Leeds United fans took to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction at the performance of Eunan O’Kane in their 2-1 Championship win against Bolton Wanderers at Elland Road today.
O’Kane was named in the starting XI alongside Ronaldo Vieira in central midfield in the absence of the injured Adam Forshaw.
Leeds took a 2-0 lead through goals from Caleb Ekuban, his first for the club, and Pablo Hernandez, who doubled the advantage five minutes into the second half.
Adam Le Fondre pulled one back for the visitors after heading Sammy Ameobi’s free-kick beyond the arms of Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
Leeds’ win was only their second since Boxing Day and should help to lift the gloom that has surrounded the club following a campaign that has failed to live up to expectations.

But supporters were unimpressed by former Bournemouth player O’Kane, who they felt failed to track his direct opponent in the build-up to the Bolton goal.
One claimed he is “not fit for the shirt” and another offered to buy him a “one-way ticket to the moon”.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
I wouldn’t keep Lasogga or O’Kane next season. Both not good enough. #lufc

O’Kane loses his man. Get that man a one way ticket to the moon!

Again a goal conceded after giving away a stupid freekick, this time by Berardi. And then O’Kane being his usual uselessness in the penalty area. #lufc

I wonder if anyone tells Useless O’Kane that part of his duties is to challenge for the ball. Offered Lee Fondre a free header. Shocking player, not fit for the shirt #lufc
