Leeds fans suggest ‘perfect’ signing arriving as Kalvin Phillips footage drops
Leeds United fans have called for Kalvin Phillips to return to the club after footage emerged at Wembley ahead of the playoff final.
The former Leeds midfielder was spotted amongst fans on Wembley Way ahead of the game, grinning as many greeted him, sang his name and asked for pictures.
Football Insider revealed that Phillips, 28, is almost certain to leave Man City this summer amid interest from Leeds, but any move to Leeds now looks unlikely after the 1-0 defeat to Southampton.
However, fans haven’t given up hope, as they called for him to return regardless of the outcome of the final, with the club remaining in the Championship.
Leeds United fans call for Kalvin Phillips return after new footage
Phillips left Elland Road to join Manchester City in 2022, before a lack of game time saw a loan move to West Ham materialise in January before he endured a terrible spell in East London.
Many supporters called for him to return to Elland Road next season, with one suggesting the deal would be “perfect”, as the video did the rounds on social media.
West Ham fans also expressed their desire to see him return to Leeds – with a slightly different tone.
In other news, fans have called for Daniel Farke to be sacked after the defeat to Southampton.
