'Laughably bad', 'First to be sacked' - Leeds fans destroy £15k-a-week player after loss v Cardiff
Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to tear Pierre-Michel Lasogga to shreds for his performance against Cardiff at Elland Road on Saturday.
Lasogga, 25, missed a huge number of chances early on as Thomas Christiansen’s side fell to a desperate 4-1 defeat as their rotten run of form continues.
Leeds’ promotion hopes now look dead and buried after a pitiful performance that sees their winless run extended to seven games.
What will no doubt be more annoying to Christiansen is that he has yet more squad issues to deal with after Pontus Jansson was stretchered off through injury and Gaetano Berardi was sent off after two first-half bookings.
It was a horrible afternoon for Whites fans, who spared no criticism on Lasogga.
One disgruntled supporter destroyed the German, saying that he is “laughably bad”.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
Lasogga is laughably bad. Anyone who says otherwise is either stupid or doesn't watch the games #lufc

We need someone clinical Lasogga ain’t that – having said that I thought at 0-1 we could give it a go second half- 0-3 at home at half time ain’t good enough

Unacceptable performance and no desire from the lads.. can't watch this any longer. @andrearadri at this level you need to finish opportunities like that, Lasogga is no quality.

Should've kept Bamba and stuck him up front instead of Lasogga

Defended lasogga for so long, enough of that, he scores at 1-0 down today it changes it, scores the 2 against Millwall we win comfortably.

Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay has previously reported that Lasogga is earning £15,000-a-week from Leeds during his loan spell away from Bundesliga club Hamburg.
He has made 20 appearances in all competitions since arriving in the summer in the aftermath of Chris Wood’s move to Burnley.
But the German forward has scored just seven goals and supporters have been less than impressed by the amount of chances he has to have before actually beating the goalkeeper.
In other Leeds United news, it has been confirmed that the Whites have terminated this centre-forward’s deal.
